Each year Jackson County holds two delinquent tax sales. This year, the first sale is at the Independence Jackson County Courthouse, located at 308 W. Kansas beginning the week of August 18, 2008. The second sale will take place beginning the week of August 25, 2008, at the Kansas City Jackson County Courthouse located at 415 E. 12th Street. As part of the County’s e-government initiative of ONLINE – NOT IN LINE, Jackson County now offers as an on line service, tax sale buyer information, bidder registration forms, and a property search engine of tax foreclosure properties currently available for sale.
