The Jackson County Code is the code of ordinances of the county. The code contains the law of the county relating to county finances, planning and zoning, petty offenses, construction of buildings, and park operations, among many other subjects. Reference can be made to the code to determine whether Jackson County has a county ordinance relating to any particular subject. For a copy of the code, or for answers to your questions about it, please contact the County Clerk's office or download PDF versions of the chapters you are interested in from the list below. The County Legislature enacts amendments and revisions to the County Code from time to time. The webmaster will make every effort to ensure that the on-line version of the Code is current. However, before relying on the on-line Code, the user is advised to contact the County Clerk to verify its accuracy.
