The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that includes Patrol, Investigations, Warrants, Courthouse Security, and Staff Services Divisions. Details regarding each division and the services they offer are viewable throughout this website.

My office personally values the safety and security of all our citizens. The deputies and staff of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office are always working to uphold the laws of the charter, preserve the peace, and improve response times.

National Sheriff's Association Resolution
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp attended the 2013 National Sheriff's Associations Winter Conference this past January in Washington D.C.

During the conference the National Sheriff's Association's held a press conference and released their 2013-1 Resolution regarding the 2nd Amendment. Sheriff Sharp was present at the Press Conference and supports the National Sheriff's Associations 2013-1 Resolution. Read The Resolution

Neither the Jackson County Detention Center nor the new Regional Correctional Center are operated by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. Those facilities are maintained and operated by an executive-branch County Department of Corrections.
