Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE & EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN	Grade: g05
Div-Dept: Public Works	Openings: 1
Location: Grain Valley	Salary: $11.61/hour
Job Duties: Repairs and maintains passenger cars, pickup trucks, dump trucks, wheel loaders, wheel tractor mowers, brush cutters, rollers, asphalt pavers, asphalt recyclers, bulldozers, motor graders and track loaders; repairs lawn mowers, weed eaters and miscellaneous small engines; responsible for repair of 150-200 vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have 4yrs experience in repair of off road heavy construction equipment, diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics or repair of passenger cars, pickups, dump trucks and tractors involving work from tune-ups to engine replacement. Technical or trade school training and certificate in auto/truck mechanics and/or demonstrated equivalent experience is required. Must supply necessary hand tools, wrenches, electrical and air tools etc. Must possess Class A CDL with Hazmat (X) endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months and complete pre offer drug screen or any combination providing the required knowledge/skills.

Job Title: CARE MANAGER	Grade: g06

Job Duties: Coordinate and consent to care for County wards by working with staff memebers on finanacial and legal matters with community health workers on medical and mental health issues with state and federal agencies on entitlement questions and with facilities to assure appropriate living arrangements or placement for wards. Provides information that potentially affects eligibility for entitlement programs; interacts with wards, facilities, care providers, and other entities; reviews, advocates, consents to and monitors treatment plans and care, medication and hospitalization; crisis assistance and annual visits with wards, and is on-call some weekends and evenings.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have Bachelor's Degree in a social behavioral science and 3-5 yrs exp working with adults w/chronic mental illness, drug & alcohol dependent persons, physically & cognitively disabled adults, adults with behavior disorders and the frail and demented elderly. Must have exp w/Microsoft Word. Excellent behavioral management skills are a must. Valid driver's lic, insurance and a motor vehicle or any combination providing the required knowledge/skills

Job Title: DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTOR	Grade: g03
Div-Dept: Prosecutor	Openings: 1

Job Duties: Reviews petitions for Delinquent Missouri income taxes received from the Missouri Department of Revenue weekly, inputs the data from the petitions into the computer, and prints a 10-day demand letter on each file; handles telephone inquiries from the taxpayers; corresponds with the Department of Revenue on resolving problems, skip-tracing and out-of-venue files; types new petitions when necessary, prepares files for court, and helps Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with court docket, creates files and organizes filing system; prepares files with court and calendars all garnishment documents.

Job Title: LEGAL ASSISTANT	Grade: g04

Job Duties: Responsible for customer service on the telephone and in person, receiving/handling emergency/non-emergency calls for the Sheriff’s office, dispatching calls for service within the unincorporated areas of Jackson County.
Minimum Qualifications: H.S. diploma/GED required. Previous experience preferred. Must exhibit good customer service skills over telephone systems and in person; respond appropriately to emergency or crises situations, operate two-way radio systems, enter/access data on various computer systems. Must have skill in reading/interpreting maps, recalling information, and enunciating clearly. Must complete & pass 12-week in-service training, 40-hour APCO-approved course and various computer system training classes. Must pass Telecommunicator exam and extensive background check.
