Jackson County Parks + Rec presents Nature Walks at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark

Wear your hiking or walking shoes and spend time on the bluffs and river bottoms of the Missouri River during a nature walk surrounding the Fort Osage National Historic Landmark. The event is hosted by Jackson County Parks + Rec.

Jackson County Parks + Rec presents Nature Walks at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Wear your hiking or walking shoes and spend time on the bluffs and river bottoms of the Missouri River during a nature walk surrounding the Fort Osage National Historic Landmark. The event is hosted by Jackson County Parks + Rec.

What: Fort Osage Nature Walks

When: Saturday, May 5

Time: 10:00am – 11:00am

2:00pm – 3:00pm

Where: Fort Osage National Historic Landmark

107 Osage Street, Sibley, MO 64088

Cost: Walk is included with $8 adult admission fee

$4 admission fee for youth and seniors

As participants explore their surroundings, they’ll learn about native plants, animals and invasive vegetation that negatively impacts the natural landscape. Plants and animals examined and documented by the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1804-1806 will serve as the back drop for the nature walk. A light refreshment will be provided for those participating.
