The Economic Development Authority acts as a liaison between the county, the community and industry for the advancement of economic development in Jackson County. The authority will allow for communication between taxing jurisdictions within the county regarding economic development topics and projects.
Membership is not to exceed 84 total members (seven members from each of the 12 school districts within Jackson County).
The County Executive appoints members to the authority.
Members serve four-year terms. (Of the original members of the authority, one will serve a two-year term and two will serve three-year terms.)
