The Communications Department provides media and public relation services for Jackson County.

The departments responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Issuing news release and responding to media inquiries
  • Planning and promoting events
  • Designing and maintaining the county's primary website, in addition to the Parks + Rec and COMBAT websites
  • Producing printed materials (brochures, flyers, posters, etc.)
  • Photographing and videotaping meetings, news conferences and other events
  • Updating the county's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts, as well other social media
