Environmental Services

  1. Energy Conservation

The ability to help the environment through saving energy is often at our fingertips. It's called the "on/off" button, though sometimes "pulling the plug" is actually required to truly "shut off" some devices.

  2. Environmental Programs

The public expects government to be good stewards of our environment, and Jackson County remains fully committed to that principle even during an unprecedented and ongoing budget crisis.

  3. Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

Hazardous household products are labeled as flammable, toxic, corrosive or reactive. A typical home may contain a vast array of household hazardous products used for cleaning, painting, beautifying and disinfecting.

  4. Recycling Centers

Jackson County is happy to provide you with a list of helpful recycling and environmental resources which will direct you to a host of services and information.

  5. Water Conservation

It's hard to imagine running out of water, but it could happen. The good news is there are plenty of small things you can do to conserve water and help avert future water shortages.
