Truman Courthouse
This is where Harry got started! Welcome to the courthouse that launched Harry S Truman on the political path that would lead to the White House. Truman served as a County presiding judge from the mid-1920s through 1934.
Fort Osage
Venture back to the early 19th Century at Fort Osage, a combined military garrison/trading post that served as the gateway to the West. In 1808, William Clark of Lewis and Clark fame built the fort as the first outpost in the Louisiana Purchase.
Missouri Town in 1855
Experience life in mid-19th Century Missouri! This living museum, featuring more than 25 buildings dating from 1820 to 1860 and interpreters in period clothing, depicts the daily life of a Missouri farming community.
