Environmental Health Division

The Environmental Health Division is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures of the Jackson County Food Code.

They inspect all restaurants, grocery stores, schools, mobile food and temporary food establishments within the unincorporated area of Jackson County and the cities of Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Grandview, Greenwood, Lee's Summit, Lone Jack, Oak Grove, Raytown and Sugar Creek.* For a listing of Jackson County food inspections please visit the Environmental Health Division review inspections of food and lodging establishments website.

All critical violations are corrected within 24 to 72 hours by food service establishments even though the inspection report on the web does not indicate correction.
