Jackson County Public Works designed the building modifications with the Sheriff's Department providing appropriate law enforcement expertise and oversight. Construction was under the supervision of the Facilities Management and Engineering Divisions of Public Works.
Renovations include an improved dispatch room, electrical upgrades, transaction windows, ADA improvements and general security improvements commensurate with a law enforcement facility.
Exterior work features a security fence extending around the building, exterior door replacement and installation of a communications tower. An additional parking lot will be added within the security fence in the Summer of 2015.
